Job Description:We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Project Manager with a strong focus on business development and sales to join our growing consulting firm. The ideal candidate should have a proactive attitude, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to contribute to research, lead generation, outreach efforts, and client relationship management.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with potential clients, conducting research to identify leads from various sources, and supporting project delivery. Your focus will be on the sales and business development aspects of project management, ensuring the company's strategic goals are met through tailored outreach and follow-ups, as well as participating in soft pitches.
Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential leads and business opportunities across a variety of sources.
Build and manage contact lists for outreach campaigns and sales efforts.
Conduct tailored outreach to prospective clients through email, phone, and other communication channels.
Follow up on leads and ensure consistent communication throughout the sales cycle.
Participate in soft pitches and assist in presenting the company's offerings to potential clients.
Coordinate across teams to ensure the seamless execution of business development initiatives.
Support the delivery of government grant and contract projects, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to maintain project momentum and client satisfaction.
Use PowerPoint/Google Slides to create compelling presentations for business development purposes.
Monitor project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure projects stay on track.
Proactively identify potential risks or issues and suggest corrective actions to minimize impact.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in business development, project management, or a similar field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with native or near-native English proficiency.
Strong business development skills with experience in outreach, lead generation, and sales.
Knowledge or experience in government consulting, business strategy, or grant/contract management.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating across teams.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
High proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
Ability to engage and manage stakeholders with varying needs and personalities.
A proactive, self-starter with the ability to anticipate challenges and take initiative.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and team dynamics.
Preferred:
Myers-Briggs personality type: INTJ or ENTJ (although not mandatory).
Previous experience in sales, client outreach, or business development.
Experience in client-facing roles and managing client relationships.
