We are looking for a Legal Director LATAM to join our team.
The position will report to the Global Head of Legal Department based in Milan.
He/She will be a critical member of the LATAM Leadership Team as we develop and build our business in LATAM based in Brazil, Sorocaba – São Paulo.Main responsibilities: The Legal Director LATAM will provide general legal advice and support to Prysmian in LATAM and on general legal matters, with a focus on strategic legal support, with quality, cost efficiency and alignment to the business, managing risks, and giving smart and realistic advise.
He/She may be required to provide advice in relation to general corporate matters, labor, taxes, M&A, contracts, litigation, environmental law, among others, on issues specific to LATAM.Essential FunctionsEnsure that our companies in the Latin American region are legally safe, by coordinating and executing the management of contractual flow, preparing and organizing contract and other policies' templates and monitoring its adhesion to them.
Act directly as the main business partner with commercial and operations areas, control and deal with risks of having different contracts from different origins.
Manage external offices in the region directly, not only in the subject of consultative law but also in the litigation one.
Create mechanisms for identifying risks in the labor and contractual relations and act on advising the relevant areas of the company as well as executing actions to ensure that the company's legal practices in the region are correct.
Elaborate and execute the strategical vision of legal concerns throughout the Latin America Region in alignment with the Group's vision and policies.
Support all processes related to biddings, giving advice to the relevant areas of the company.
A proven track record of advising a dynamic and entrepreneurial business during a period of transformational change and international growth.Who are we looking for?Education: Bachelor in Law, member of OAB.
Preferably with post-graduation in corporate law.
10+ years of experience as a corporate attorney.
Evident capability in understanding legal and regulatory concepts and turn them into relevant and practical commercial advise.
Experience in contracts, corporate law, labor, litigation and other fields of legal matters.
Solid experience in negotiation with clients and key suppliers as well as considerable commercial transactional experience.
Knowledge in economy, finance (budget, cost/income, cash flow, marge) Demonstrated experience with commercial agreements, negotiations, mergers & acquisitions, transactions, and general corporate matters.Language: English and Spanish are required at a fluent level.Great communication ability to influence internal and external people.
Ability to be "hands-on" while bringing a strategical vision.
High level of self-motivation and high degree of integrity.
