Lead Concept Artist - Experiential DesignAs a Lead Concept Artist, you'll inspire multi-disciplinary teams to develop transformative, innovation-first experiences that are both physical and hybrid. Our Concept Artists collaborate with culturally and geographically diverse cross-functional teams of designers, art directors, copywriters, strategists, motion designers, producers, and developers. You are key in helping us unlock our full potential by creating user-centric immersive spaces that evoke deep emotional responses and connect deeply with the brand narrative.Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and visionary Lead Concept Artist to join our team in São Paulo. You will be responsible for creating and overseeing the development of concept art that brings our clients' visions to life in the physical world. This role requires a deep understanding of spatial design, storytelling, and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into tangible, immersive experiences. You will lead a team of concept artists and work closely with various departments to ensure that all visual elements are cohesive and impactful.Key Responsibilities:Creative Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of concept artists, guiding the creation of visuals for experiential projects, including physical activations, installations, and large-scale events.Concept Development: Develop and oversee the production of concept art for physical spaces, ensuring that designs are innovative, on-brand, and effectively communicate the desired experience.Collaboration: Work closely with event designers, architects, production teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that visual concepts align with technical requirements and can be executed within physical spaces.Spatial Design: Create visuals that consider the interaction of elements within a space, including lighting, materials, and the flow of the audience, to ensure an immersive and coherent experience.Research and Inspiration: Stay up-to-date with trends in experiential design, architecture, and technology to inspire and inform creative solutions.Agile Work Environment: Our team frequently engages in pitch work across a wide range of projects, each with unique styles and creative demands. You'll need to be highly adaptable, thriving in a dynamic, high-energy environment where you'll quickly generate innovative concepts.Character & Environment Design: While the primary focus is on experiential design, there may be occasional opportunities to lead the creation of character and environment designs for game-related projects, ensuring that these elements align seamlessly with the overall narrative and visual design of the project.Qualifications:Experience: Strong portfolio showcasing work in experiential design, event design, or physical installations. Prior leadership experience is preferred.Education: A degree in Fine Arts, Illustration, Environmental Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital painting and design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Rhino or SketchUp) is highly desirable.Artistic Skills: Strong understanding of spatial design, perspective, lighting, and materials, with the ability to create compelling and practical concepts for physical spaces.English Proficiency: Excellent English language skills are essential, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate design ideas and collaborate with team members and clients.Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a creative team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design ideas and provide clear, constructive feedback.Familiarity with AI Tools: Experience with artificial intelligence tools for image and concept generation, such as Midjourney and Stable Diffusion, is highly desirable.VR/AR: Experience in creating concept art specifically for VR and AR environments desirable.Proficiency in Rapid Sketching: Demonstrated ability to quickly produce preliminary sketches is essential, particularly in the initial phases of concept development.Creativity: A highly creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to generate fresh ideas that push the boundaries of experiential design.Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-disciplinary teams, with a collaborative spirit and a focus on achieving project goals.
