Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process.
It involves activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets user needs.
The discipline executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, which includes the identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs, and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed.
This process proceeds from concept to production to operation, impacting departmental operations and requiring planning and execution.
The role has some autonomy but is focused on executing activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
Some judgment may be required, but this is typically with guidance.Key Responsibilities: Coordinating with the client for document approvals;Coordinating with the supplier for offer evaluation, document submission, comments resolution, reply preparation, and validation of revisions done by the supplier;Coordination with the site team to collect inputs from the site, which may include site visits;Facilitating coordination among the global engineering team, supplier, and client, addressing language barriers between local suppliers, clients, and the global engineering team who work in English;Representing the technical team in client and supplier meetings;Ensuring timely deliveries of documents;Identifying and taking actions to remove roadblocks by escalating issues;Understanding and applying design processes;Knowledge about interfaces of electrical BOP packages with each other and with other functions;Ensuring correct interfaces in the projects.Required Qualifications:Electrical Engineer with robust experience in EBOP for Hydro Powerplants design and a good knowledge of all EBOP packages – EHV packages, Distribution packages, Auxiliary packages, protection system, and excitation system;Knowledge of conceptual, basic, and detail design of various EBOP packages for Hydro Powerplant;Fluent in Portuguese and English; knowledge of Spanish will be an added advantage;Comfortable leading teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders;Ability to foresee roadblocks and act in advance to avoid them.#J-18808-Ljbffr
