With expertise in IBM AS400 Hardware, HPUX, IBM AIX, cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure, and robust disaster recovery protocols, the Lead Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining the resilience and reliability of our IT operations.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, implementation, and management of hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Administer and manage IBM AS400, HPUX, and AIX systems, applying best practices for system security and data integrity.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery and backup strategies to safeguard critical data and maintain business continuity.
- Oversee the integration of cloud services (AWS/Azure) with on-premises environments, ensuring seamless and secure operations.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions that meet business needs and align with the company's strategic goals.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on infrastructure performance, making recommendations for enhancements and upgrades.
- Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure specialists, setting objectives and evaluating performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in infrastructure management and incorporate them into the organization's IT strategy.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best service levels and cost efficiencies.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure management and operations.
- Proven expertise in IBM AS400 Hardware, HP-UX, IBM AIX administration, and management.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Solid understanding of disaster recovery principles, backup strategies, and networking concepts.
- Experience in leading and managing IT infrastructure projects and teams.
- Industry-recognized certifications in cloud technologies and infrastructure management (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge: - Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
- Strong architectural background with the ability to design scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.
