We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Billing Assistant to join our Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller.

**Purpose of the role**:
Prepare accurate and timely invoices through efficient billing processes and in compliance with firm policies. Support fee earners and legal departments with resolving queries and administrative tasks relating to billing.
**Your role is to**:
- Develop a clear understand of the billing processes in the Aderant Practice Management System
- Process and generate bills according to client and firm protocols
- Manage general matter, invoice or credit note enquiries and liaise with other support departments to resolve issues where required
- Support the Accounts Receivable process where required
- Check new matters pro-actively for billing related criteria and obtain missing or correct data from legal teams where require to update matters
- Prepare various management reports using the Aderant Expert system and Excel
- Ad hoc responsibilities as required by line management
- Contribute to process and system improvement projects

- Be technically proficient in a range of Microsoft products
- Be a team player as well as a self starter
- Be flexible to work additional hours when required
- Demonstrate good organisation skills and the ability to prioritise key tasks
