Legal Counsel

Candidate Profile5 to 10 years of proven experience as legal counsel in the business environment, preferably in the O&G industry (upstream).Education: Licensed as attorney at law (regularly registered in Rio de Janeiro Bar Association).Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of Brazilian Laws, especially Petroleum Laws, ANP regulations.Behavior Skills: Good communication skills; Business oriented.Language: Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).ActivitiesProvide legal advice and support to legal issues and projects, including corporate, R&D, and technical services, and other matters with mid to high complexity, with some level of autonomy.Provide legal advice and support on regulatory issues, with emphasis (although not limited to) ANP regulations.Provide legal advice and support to the other divisions of the Company, and eventually other affiliates.Assist on and follow-up legal processes, litigations, and business transactions.Analyze and identify legal risks and implications, and suggest legal measures to mitigate the risks identified.Provide legal advice and support to the drafting, revision, negotiation of transactional documents, including commercial contracts for acquisition and sharing of equipment and services related to E&P activities, ensuring that legal considerations and risk mitigation are known by the divisions involved.Liaise with external counsel and/or specialists.Monitor legal and regulatory developments and communicate relevant updates that may have implications for the company.Represent TotalEnergies in external committees (e.g. IBP) and organizations, aligning strategy with the LRCG Director and the Legal Manager.Engage/advise within the Company with business partners of all levels of seniority, including directors, under the supervision of the LRCG Director and the Legal Manager, with respect to legal issues under his/her responsibility.Context & EnvironmentTotalEnergies EP Brasil Ltda. holds several licenses in Brazil, both under Tax & Royalties and PSC regime, being the nominated operator under some of the concession agreements.Apply
