The role We are seeking an experienced Global Legal Counsel to oversee and manage all legal activities across our subsidiaries and entities worldwide.
This key role involves coordinating with external legal advisors, managing contracts, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in protecting the company's legal interests and supporting its global expansion.
To be more specific your core responsibilities will include: Supervise all legal activities across subsidiaries and entities worldwide.
Coordinate with external counsel for specialised legal advice in various jurisdictions.
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, partnerships, acquisitions, and strategic agreements.
Oversee legal aspects of international mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence.
Participate in acquisition negotiations to protect the company's legal interests.
Safeguard and defend the company's intellectual property rights.
Ensure compliance with local and international employment laws.
Develop and implement long-term legal strategies to support company growth.
Organise and manage legal documents, including contracts and litigation files.
Provide regular reports to senior management on legal matters and risks.
Ensure compliance with media and digital industry regulations.
Lead regulatory compliance efforts, including data protection (e.g., GDPR).
Monitor legal and regulatory developments in all operational countries.
Identify and manage legal risks, implementing solutions to mitigate them.

You are the perfect fit if you have: Proven experience in international legal counsel roles, including mergers and acquisitions, contract management, and intellectual property protection.
Expertise in navigating complex legal frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
Strong knowledge of employment law, data protection, and media regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on protecting the company's interests.
Law degree with an active bar membership in at least one jurisdiction.
Experience in the digital media industry is highly desirable.
