**Your role**
- Do you have experience with legal and regulatory matters? Are you a Brazilian licensed counsel focused on wealth management, private banking and financial and capital markets?
We're looking for a Brazilian licensed legal counsel to cover the maternity leave of senior lawyers from October 2024 until October 2025 to:
- act as point of entry for legal and regulatory matters related to equity services in general, the distribution of Brazilian securities, and structuring, restructuring, negotiation and credit recovery of loans and derivatives
- interact with other in-house lawyers and stakeholders, external counsel, clients and regulatory bodies
- advise on matters related to Brazilian civil, banking, family and succession law (e.g., donation, succession), as well as relevant regulation (e.g., issued by CMN, BCB, and/or CVM) and autoregulation rules
- monitor legal and regulatory changes and developments impacting our Wealth Management, Global Lending Unit and Global Markets businesses in Brazil
- support product teams, providing advice on capacity, authority and enforceability of contracts in general, including (without limitation) loans, derivatives, public offerings and distribution of Brazilian securities
- provide advice to our business divisions on legal frameworks, issues, negotiations and documentation
- support our strategic business initiatives and cross border projects, including UBS/Credit Suisse integration initiatives

- You'll be working in the legal team based in Brazil, covering the maternity leave of senior lawyers from October 2024 until October 2025. We focus on delivering high-quality legal advice and solutions to our Wealth Management, Global Lending Unit and Global Markets divisions. As a temporary legal counsel, you'll play an important role in making sure our business clients receive timely, accurate and coherent legal service
**Your expertise**
- worked as in-house counsel within an international bank, or in one a major participant of the domestic private banking, wealth management or asset management industry, or a top tier law firm
- experience with wealth management, private banking, asset management and/or investment banking industries as a legal counsel
- hold a law bachelor's degree
- fluent in English - both written and spoken
- track record of providing confident, clear and concise advice
- able to successfully attain quality advice from regulators and external legal counsels
- motivated and skilled at driving a proactive solution-orientated process
- excellent ability in managing and prioritizing multiple projects and stakeholders
