A multinational is looking for a **Legal Manager** with expertise in the legal departament to manage legal and compliance matters of company and affiliates companies within Brazil in the most effective and efficient manner, as well as to support legal and compliance matters in Argentina with the instruction of the supervisor.
**Responsabilidades e atribuições**
- Proactively and effectively support the company businesses (both of trading and investments), with certain autonomy, by fully understanding the activities, objectives, strategy and needs of the company.
Support of business includes writing, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
- Respond to litigation and public crisis situations promptly and appropriately, with a sense of balance from our company's integrated risk management perspective.
- Proactively contribute to enhancement of integrity and compliance mindset of the company in relation to its business activities, including appropriately responding to compliance reports.
- Keep up to date on legal issues; identify, collect, and share relevant legal and compliance information relevant to the company activity.
- Manages appropriately corporate secretary works for the company.
- Co-work with and lead the other department members, proactively sharing with them experience and knowledge.
- Appropriately and efficiently manage and supervise outside legal, compliance and other experts.
Strengthen network with outside experts taking into consideration business needs of the company.
- Coordinate and work closely with management, other departments (corporate and business), global legal departments and group companies, contributing to efficient and effective business activities.
- This position may involve traveling to foreign countries, including Argentina, US, and Japan.
- Share his/her experience/expertise with the colleagues of Brasil legal department as well as the group companies' legal members, in an aim to expand and grow as a team.
- Perform other duties and comply with mission and responsibilities.
**Requisitos e qualificações**
- Graduate Law degree.
- Fluent English.
- At least 10 years of experience working professionally as a lawyer.
- (Preference) Material portion of the above period being in-house legal experience
- (Preference) In-house legal experience in multinational organizations.
- Experience in M&A transactions.
- Microsoft Office skills.
