The Legal Manager will also be responsible for working collaboratively with all teams and regions to ensure Legal's full contribution to the achievement of business objectives while mitigating legal, labor, and regulatory risks.What will you do - Responsibilities:Stay abreast of all laws and regulations impacting operations in Brazil by liaising with external legal counsel, Legal colleagues in other markets, the Region, and HQ, as well as other functions;Ensure full contribution of LRA to the achievement of business objectives through: Implementation of local Legal strategy; Proactive identification of legal and reputational risks and collaboration with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation measures; Bringing value and speed to commercial decision-making with holistic strategies to manage legal, labor, contracts, and regulatory challenges, and facilitate timely crop hiring; Closely collaborating with CA&C, ESG, Agronomy, and the Region on strategies for more effective engagement with regulators and management of legal challenges; Negotiating and drafting various types of agreements; and Providing advice and counsel on a broad range of legal issues;Contribute toward preparation of Legal budgets and tracking spend;Work with outside counsel on commercial, labor, agreements, and regulatory matters and litigation, as needed;Support Compliance to help strengthen corporate governance. Conduct local training on competition law, crop hiring, and dawn raid preparedness for local employees.Who are we looking for - Requirements:5+ years as a lawyer at a law firm and/or in-house experience;Law degree and qualification to practice law in Brazil are required;Fluency in Portuguese & English is required.
