If you are guided, as we are, by socio-eco-environmental values and want to participate in solving the biggest challenges facing our world today, here is how you can help:SUMMARYJoin the dynamic Optchain Sustainability team that conducts studies and develops sustainability measurement tools/metrics/regulations for the different businesses served by the Optchain platform by OPTEL. In your role you will carry out primarily LCAs and greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories in various scopes and sectors. Through the use of Optchain, you will conduct and support LCA projects, with a focus on carbon, that empower our clients to reduce the environmental footprint of their products, operations and their organization and make environmentally positive supply chain design decisions. We are looking for someone who will actively participate in peer support by providing assistance on other sustainability specialists' projects, fostering a collaborative team environment and ensuring shared success in sustainability initiatives.RESPONSIBILITIESConduct and support LCA-related tasks;Integrate the LCA data collection and results in OPTEL's traceability solutions;Conduct and support corporate GHG inventory calculations;Prepare Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs);Ensure compliance with relevant LCA and GHG reporting standards;Write technical reports;Be in front of our customers to understand their needs and participate in presales activities;Contribute to industry regulation and standard analysis and monitoring; participate in technical workgroups;Present the outputs of Optchain to customers;Contribute to the development and improvement of Optchain traceability solutions.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDBachelor or Master degree (or any post-graduate degree) in engineering and/or environmental sciences and/or sustainable development;High autonomy and strongly delivery oriented;Technical and customer facing experience;Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French;Align to the values, priorities, and culture of OPTEL;Strong ability to adapt, learn and tackle new topics and issues;Applied knowledge of LCA software (SimaPro, openLCA, GaBi) and databases;Experience in ESG regulations and projects is a plus;Experience in product development is a plus;Knowledge and passion for sustainability and life cycle thinking.BENEFITS AND ADVANTAGESCompetitive compensation;Flex hours;Ability to work on site or remotely;Virtual health clinic and employee assistance program;Group and dental insurance from day one;Group RRSP and TFSA with employer contribution from day one;On-site amenities (free parking and power stations, free coffee and fruit);50% reimbursement of the monthly RTC pass;Several committees in which you can get involved (B-Corp Committee, Social Club, SST);Open, bright areas and ergonomic offices;Free English and French classes for those who wish to improve their level;B-CORP certified company.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYEROPTEL is an equal opportunity employer.
