Wednesday, August 21, 2024Working directly with the Lift Maintenance Manager, the Field Supervisor will assist with the supervision and coordination of all on mountain lift maintenance to ensure the safe and reliable maintenance and operation of all equipment in a cost-effective manner.Essential functions:Assist with the preparation of lift maintenance budgets.Complete timelines for maintenance functions following manufacturers and Panorama Mountain Resort procedures and recommendations.Anticipate preventative maintenance intervals and recommend maintenance functions (e.g., Gearbox, Bullwheel bearings, Electric Motor, Haul Rope, NDT, Load Tests).Assist in the development of the preventative maintenance schedules per manufacturer's recommendations and provincial regulations.Operate within the approved budget.Requisition, order, and inspect new and repaired parts and equipment.Maintain spare parts inventory.Recommend critical spare parts inventory.Ensure maintenance records are complete and logbooks are maintained as required.Ensure all work is performed as per our safe work procedures and policies.Ensure compliance with all industry regulations; WorkSafe regulations, CSA Z-98 code, BCSA regulations.Assign duties and schedule personnel.Involvement in the hiring process for maintenance personnel.Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions.Assist in repairs and maintenance on the mountain and in a shop environment.Experience/Requirements:Journeyperson certification as an Industrial Mechanic or Electrician (or equivalent experience).Previous experience working with maintenance of various types of aerial ropeway equipment.Knowledge of ski lift operations and maintenance requirements.Industrial equipment repairs an asset.Valid BC Driver's License.Demonstrated ability to work as a team with various mountain operations departments.Strong leadership and supervisory qualities with excellent communication skills.Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations.Ability to handle conflicting priorities.Possess administrative and computer skills.Ability to work at heights and lift heavy equipment.Compensation:Min Hiring Rate: $37.00Max Hiring Rate: $41.00Job Start Date: Monday, September 16, 2024Location: Panorama Mountain Village, 2030 Summit Drive, Panorama, British Columbia, Canada
