Role Summary: The Machine Operator will prepare and finish mechanical components by analyzing technical drawings and selecting appropriate materials and tools. Their tasks include measuring, marking and tracing materials, adjusting and polishing small parts using grinders and following safety and quality standards. In addition, the Machine Operator moves materials and keeps the work area organized, reporting any defects or failures in the process.
Responsibilities: Studying mechanical components and analyzing drawings and technical models.Selecting and using materials, tools and measuring instruments.Measure, mark and trace materials accurately using appropriate instruments.Adjusting and finishing small parts such as rotors and housings, using grinders and grinding machines.Polishing metal surfaces and following safety, environmental and quality standards.Moving materials and keeping the work area organized.Reporting defects or faults in the process.Other duties as assigned.Requirements: Basic computer skills.Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions.Basic math skills in the workshop.Ability to read and follow scripts/blueprints.High level of organizational skills.Experience of working in an industrial, manufacturing, construction or related environment.Self-motivated.Preferred Experience / Skills: Experience in machining or similar field.Experience in using and interpreting precision measuring instruments.Flowserve is a world-leading manufacturer and aftermarket service provider of comprehensive flow control systems.
