Corporate development managers will work with senior management to identify and assess potential acquisition, joint venture and partnership opportunities. They also lead the process of negotiating and closing deals. Corporate development managers typically have a technical background, and work in close partnership with the company's engineering team to assess the feasibility and value of potential acquisitions.

1) Serve as the primary point of contact for all acquisition, joint venture and partnership activity
2) Identify and assess potential opportunities
3) Negotiate and close deals
4) Work with senior management to set overall strategy
5) Set long-term goals & formulate growth strategies
6) Create plans to achieve these goals and monitor their implementation
7) Evaluate opportunities and threats to the organization's success

**Key Requirements**
**Experience**:
**5+ years in Investment Banking, Corporate Development, or similar role.**
**Professional skills**:
Technical/Business degree with substantial understanding of Business, Corporate Finance and Accounting.
Good understanding of Geology, Mining, Mineral Processing, and Law.
Behavioural competencies:
Communication skills, stress resistance, very high attention to detail, stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.
Language skills: English
Other languages are an advantage, particularly:
Arabic, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.
