**About the Role**
FTI Consulting currently has a vacancy for a Manager on the within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring (CF&R) and Capital Advisors group (FTI CA).
Based in the Sao Paulo office., the individual in this position will provide financial and market intelligence and analysis that supports the Latin America CF&R and FTI CA practices.
In particular, they will assist in obtaining, analyzing and evaluating financial statement data and market intelligence required for business development and client engagements.
Additional responsibilities include research and monitoring of healthy companies, stressed/distressed companies, related securities, and relevant business developments and industry trends.
**What You'll Do**:
- Fulfill daily research requests from CF&R practitioners pertaining to business prospecting and client matters.
- Assist with research, analysis and presentation of materials used in pitch books and client presentations.
- Evaluate the financial performance of sectors, companies including stressed/distressed companies.
- Work with practitioners and business developers to implement processes and create work products that support business development opportunities.
- Monitor critical events and developments for companies and industries of interest to key CF practitioners.
- Conduct bankruptcy/insolvent-related research and analysis.
- Support the development and execution of thought leadership reports and related materials.
- Create regular and periodic presentations, reporting packages and communications to convey relevant facts and findings to CF&R team to promote knowledge sharing and build awareness on key areas of focus for the business.

**Basic Qualifications**:
- B.S.
or a B.A.
degree in accounting or finance
- 6-7 years of relevant work experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular a mastery of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Understanding of Tableau and ability to visualize data are a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial market and research databases, including but not limited to: SP's Capital IQ, Bloomberg, PACER, Factiva, Markit, Thomson Reuters LPC and Eikon.
- Strong analytical skills pertaining to the evaluation of corporate financial performance, detail-oriented, quick learner who is able to work independently, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices

**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Strong aptitude in Capital IQ and Bloomberg is preferred, including formula writing in Excel for these research platforms.
- Fundamental understanding of corporate credit analysis, distressed debt markets and bond mathematics.
- Familiarity with bankruptcy basics and court docket research.
- Able to navigate corporate loan agreements, bond indentures and evaluate key provisions of these documents.
- Ability to work under pressure to respond to deadlines
- Excellent work ethic, including a constant desire to learn
- Ability to communicate professionally in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus)
- Relevant experience preferably in large bank/equity research position
- Will be required to complete FINRA SIE and series 86/87
