In this role, you will identify sales opportunities within Red Hat's technologies across key industry trends like infrastructure, cloud, storage, middleware, and mobile.
You'll use a consultative sales approach to qualify sales-ready opportunities, working closely with sales specialists and account managers of the mid-market and small and medium business (SMB) team.
You'll need to be able to understand complex business problems and industry trends and use this information to profile and tailor Red Hat's value proposition when engaging with end users.
As a Market Development Representative, you will collaborate with stakeholders from across Red Hat, including Marketing, Sales, and Partner teams.What you will do:Perform outbound calling activities to identify new sales opportunities across predefined solutions areas within the Red Hat portfolioLook for potential customers through a variety of techniques, including social media and other tools, to seek out new business opportunitiesIdentify customer needs or requirements and align them with Red Hat's solutionsEnsure that outbound activity is in line with set targets and objectivesUse concise messaging to target a variety of industry verticals and contactsAdjust activity and behavior based on pipeline coverageEnsure that customer relationship management (CRM) systems are maintained and updatedMaintain an up-to-date knowledge of the industry and Red Hat's competitive position within itSupport team members and other associatesRepresent Red Hat to customers and customers to Red Hat in all sales-related mattersWhat you will bring:Detailed knowledge of the sales cycle within an IT organizations' structures and decision making processKnowledge of consultative sales techniques like cold calling and solutions sellingPrevious experience managing outbound and telesales activitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills1+ year(s) of internal account management or business development experiencePassion for datacenter, cloud, and middleware high-tech technologyAbility to work on your own and as part of a teamComfortable presenting thoughts, ideas, and successes to the businessWillingness and motivation to learn and progress in an innovative technology companyBachelor's degree or relevant technical degree is a plusFluent language skills in EnglishAbout Red HatRed Hat is the world's leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
