This role is crucial to our operations within the mining or finance sectors, based in Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, or São Paulo. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, capable of managing a wide range of corporate affairs and communication programs that support our strategic objectives. Job Summary The Marketing and Public Affairs Specialist will play a vital role in the operations of a leading company, focusing on the mining or finance sectors. Based in Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, or São Paulo, this Hybrid role will oversee the development and execution of corporate affairs and communications programs. The successful candidate will be a versatile communicator, adept at crafting compelling narratives for internal and external audiences and coordinating strategic communication initiatives that align with the company's mission and objectives. Major Responsibilities: Content Creation and Management: Research, write, edit, and maintain content for press releases, corporate publications, and websites related to the company's projects, personnel, and technical innovations. Media Relations: Write news releases, interact with media, and cultivate relationships within the mining or finance sectors. Communication Strategy: Conceptualize, plan, implement, and measure the success of diverse communications efforts, utilizing written, online, digital, multimedia, social media, video, and graphics formats. Visual and Digital Media: Coordinate photography, videography, and graphic design to support articles and enhance multimedia content. Internal and External Communications: Develop content for various platforms, including company publications, websites, and social media, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. Stakeholder Engagement: Advise senior leadership on communication methods, manage community interactions, and maintain stakeholder relations. Issue Management: Coordinate corporate and public affairs programs, ensuring consistent and effective communication practices across the company. Policy Implementation: Maintain policies and procedures to meet the business unit's communication needs efficiently and consistently. Social Responsibility: Collect and analyze data on the impact of the company's social responsibility programs. Advertising: Develop advertising initiatives associated with conferences or other strategic efforts. Partner Collaboration: Plan and coordinate actions with organizations and staff for company-involved events and conferences. Travel: Occasionally travel to set up and staff conference exhibits. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in marketing or related fields with relevant work experience. Experience in community outreach and engagement. Proficiency in SharePoint or other web content management systems. Skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop. Basic abilities in multimedia or video production. Ability to travel and manage multiple tasks with strong organizational skills. Fluency in English is highly required for this position. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong writing and communication skills. Ability to manage budgets and analyze the success of communication programs. High level of organization and follow-through. Ability to work effectively with company leadership and the Marketing and Business Development organization.
