JOB DESCRIPTIONPLEASE REMEMBER TO ATTACH YOUR RESUME IN ENGLISHWe are now looking for a Materials Engineer with strong analytical skillsThe Material Engineering group acts as a global competence and knowledge centre for the organization supporting primarily our Danish and Brazilian manufacturing facilities. Our products operate at extreme conditions and need optimal technical solutions to obtain required performance. We are currently 50+ engineers and technicians with broad competences within steels, polymers, and composite materials. The technical level and requirements are thus high, and we are proud of our professional approach.What the role isOur tasks and projects expand the boundaries of what's possible with available materials and technologies - and you get to be part of them. At the same time, you will be responsible for turning your efforts into tangible results. Your influence will be felt in nearly every part of the production, from sales, design, manufacturing and until pipe installation.On a daily basis, the Materials Engineering team works on:Investigation of reliability and integrity of materials used within flexible pipes.Providing internal consultancy for materials selection and design rules.Developing robust methodologies for materials selection.Your role will focus on:Designing tests for developing the technology, data and models on material physics and polymer permeation.Develop methodologies for improved robustness in predicting flexible pipe annulus environment.Consolidate and improve range of use and validity for existing material permeation data. Employ your scripting skills (like Python etc) for large data set handling and data analysis in addition to physical and chemical process modelling.Developing methodologies for internal simulation tools used for prediction of the corrosion rate, pH, and environment using knowledge in chemistry, mass transport, and thermodynamics.In addition, you will also be working with:Planning and design of your own tests in cooperation with our skilled technicians.Consolidating test results and creating PowerPoint presentations for our clients based on these results.Collaborating with clients, suppliers, and third-party verification authorities on a variety of topics within permeation, materials integrity, quality, and selection methodologies.Overall responsible for NOV methodology within Area of Responsibility (AoR).You can expect approximately 10-30 travel days per year.We Expect That YouQualifications:Chemical, mechanical or materials engineer at graduate or post graduate (preferred) level.Possess solid professional skills and a particular interest in and knowledge of materials physics, permeation, mass transport and thermodynamics etc.Are experienced in data handling, use of scripting tools such as Python.Are persistent and structured in your approach to any task.Are good at grasping and handling complex and complicated problems.Are quite proficient in English, as this is our corporate language.Excellent interpersonal skills to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.In short, you can be a Jack of all trades, or just a Master of one.
