WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As a Materials Manufacturing Manager, you will drive the vendor management for Nike's Brazil and Argentina material vendors.
This includes working directly with our material vendor base on: execution of source option material development, vendor capacity planning, material delivery tracking, vendor compliancy and sustainability management, and general day to day communication with our vendor base.
You will be the main conduit between Nike and our approved material vendors to develop high quality products with a lens on speed, capability, and best-in-class performance.
You will drive discussions to find solutions feasible for L4L and as well good for Nike and the business.
Track the Economic and Logistic scenario to prevent threads.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will be responsible for core and seasonal material palette execution and making sure vendors follow exact specifications, aesthetic and physical attributes as directed.
You will be responsible for material supply planning, material production tracking, and supporting sales sample material planning.
In addition, you will support sustainability initiatives and implementation of seasonal projects.
You will help communicate and monitor vendor key performance indicators and metrics.
It is essential to collaborate across the Nike Matrix to ensure best practices are followed and offer technical expertise cross functionally when needed.
You will support the material pricing process and help drive data analysis to foster win-win outcomes.
You will keep up-to-date with trends and newest technologies in the têxtile industry; help push the envelope on delivering products through supplier management.
You will needed to be creative to look into opportunities to transform imported items into local ones.
Understand the local capabilities deeply as well as the process to creatively find profitable solutions to attend local needs.
Be strong in front of vendors to implement new best practices as planning tracking and open cost formation.
Give directions to the vendors into planning the items to avoid delays affecting production, anticipate issues and manage difficult situations when delivery is not happening as planned.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be reporting into the Apparel PMO Product Creation Manager and dotted line to Global Materials Manufacturing Director.
Externally you will be working closely with material vendors for Fabrics and Trimms.
Internally you will be collaborating directly with local Product Creation team (PCC, Costing and Apparel PI team), also will connect to local Partner Management (PM), Delivery Excellence Team (DEC), and with Global engine as of Global Apparel Materials (GLAM), Global Material Sourcing, Global Material Costing, Global Material Integrity, and the Responsible Supply Chain teams.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years in Textiles, Apparel or Footwear Management, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of têxtile manufacturing process and the product creation life cycle
- Textile manufacturing experience is preferred
- Packaging and Trims experience is advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
- Good influencing skills, with the ability to champion complex projects across the organization
- Good negotiation skills, with ability to identify opportunities to improve costs
- Provide feedback and holding vendor's accountable to performance
- Self-Starter and able to work independently, proactive, self-motivated with a positive work attitude
- Attention to detail and organized with a strong sense of responsibility
- Understanding of windows office software as a tool for report, research, and communication.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Ability to network and utilize internal and external resources
- Excellent project and time management skills: meeting deadlines in development and production
- English, Spanish and Portuguese speaking
