Medical Advisor– Oncology Availability for travel (~30% of the time)
Responsibilities Product(s) lifecycle management.Leading and developing the Local Medical strategy and medical activities for the product(s) in accordance with regulations.TA and/or product specific medical training.Management of internal and external relationships within area of responsibility.Ensuring consistency of medical content and scientific messages across various tools and materials.Supports Local Clinical Trials team in participation and completion of studies in the country, recruitment and issues resolution.Provides input into site selection for Amgen trials.Participates in the development of international strategies and tactics in close collaboration with the cross-functional team.Visits selected KOL's and study groups/medical societies for strategic discussions and protocol development.Reviews Local ISS proposals prior to approval and ensures appropriate Local review prior to IPRC submission, if applicable.Partners with the BU Manager in the development and execution of the Local product lifecycle management plan.Coordinates in-sourced/outsourced medical programs and logistics.Supports Local regulatory and ethics approvals for development protocols.Participates in/conducts Local Advisory Board Meetings, Investigator Meetings and/or Authority Panels.Provides Medical expertise for pipeline products, Health Economy and reimbursement requests and public/private healthcare system submissions.Basic Qualifications MD ORDoctorate degree / master's degree in healthcare sciences and 3 years of experience similar position in a biotech or pharmaceutical company ORBachelor's degree and 5 years of experience similar position in a biotech or pharmaceutical company ORProficiency in English and Spanish, both in written and verbal communication.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including scientific/technical writing and presentations/trainings, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as Medical Advisor.Previous experience in oncology therapeutic areas.Ability to work independently and as a team player.Disease area knowledge and an understanding of scientific publications.Network of customer contacts in therapeutic area.Finance and budgeting experience.THRIVE!
