Boeing Brazil is seeking to hire a Mid-Career and Senior Model-Based Systems Engineering Systems Engineer with a strong background in Model-based Systems Engineering, reporting to the Manager of Digital Engineering in São José dos Campos, Brazil.
In this position, you will contribute to the mission of Boeing Research and Technology's Digital Engineering (DE) Global Center, a global initiative supporting the digital transformation of Boeing's engineering. The activities are ranging from conducting R&D projects to providing direct support to Boeing's engineering functions and programs.
As a Systems Engineer, you'll be joining an interdisciplinary team focusing on the development of digital engineering solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct research in systems engineering, with emphasis on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, methods, training, and tools.
Develop and implement Model-based Systems Engineering solutions for better integration of engineering processes and tools across all disciplines, focusing on digital continuity.
Develop and implement Model-based Systems Engineering solutions supporting co-development of Avionics Systems.
Develop and implement Model-based Systems Engineering solutions integrating system safety assessment with architecture development.
Apply Model-based System Engineering methods for development assurance to the different airplane programs.
Analyze and efficiently present engineering results.
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
Occasional travel may be required.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. This means that the selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must be legally able to work in Brazil.
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate from an accredited course of study in engineering.
Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
Experience in Systems, Hardware, or Software development in the Aerospace/Automotive industry or similar.
Experience in Model-based Systems Engineering.
Must have advanced/fluent proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in the English language.
Self-motivated with a demonstrated technical judgment and initiative.
Able to travel both domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience applying Systems Engineering principles in the Aerospace industry.
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering languages, tools and methods (such as SysML, Cameo, Simulink, etc.).
Experience with Systems Engineering industry standards (e.g. INCOSE).
Experience with Systems Engineering across the product lifecycle.
Background in scripting/coding and experience with a programming language (Python, Matlab, Java, VBA, or similar).
Understanding of behavioral/functional modeling of systems and/or production systems.
Demonstrated experience in Research and Physical Reasoning.
Previous experience working in multicultural environments will be very useful.
Excellent collaboration skills and experience with Agile methodologies.

Additional Information: This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
