THE OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a
Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer
to our
Clients Journey
team in
Brazil !
This role is to join the Clients Journey squad, part of the CIA Focus Area.
It is a multicultural area composed of people from Brazil, Portugal, the United States, and Spain.
The CIA team is responsible for providing and maintaining the platform that allows companies to integrate Gympass into their employees' life seamlessly.
The CIA Clients Journey squad's responsibility is to be the entry gate of all employees of our clients, enabling them to manage the Wellhub benefit for their employees.
It owns and delivers a portal for Companies to manage their employees and platform services to integrate the employees' data with the entire Wellhub ecosystem.
It is an agile team composed of other developers, a Tech Lead, a Project Manager, a Product Designer, and a UX writer.
As a back-end engineer, you can own and influence how a company will engage its employees with the Wellhub benefit and contribute to making every company a wellness company.
You will be expected to develop the tools and the platform that power this initiative while working closely with the Tech Lead, PM and the other devs.
We also count on your unique view on how we evolve the platform technically and business-wise.
This role is an excellent opportunity to take your expertise in back-end development to the next level.
YOUR IMPACT
Work within an agile full-stack talented engineering team;
Help to define the architecture of systems and integrations, bring innovation to the table, and make sure design docs are up to date;
Support existing systems looking to enhance functionality, increase scale, and transform in new ways to meet our product demands;
Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production environment, as well as in writing useful and critical post-mortems;
Work with cutting-edge technologies and edge cases on a global scale;
Follow-up engineering and product KPIs;
Live the mission: inspire and empower others by genuinely caring for your own wellbeing and your colleagues.
WHO YOU ARE
An engineer with a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience;
Experience in designing and developing modern web applications;
Proficient in one or more programming languages (Java / Golang / Kotlin).
Golang and Kotlin will both be considered a plus;
Experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies, such as PostgreSQL, Redis;
Solid architecture knowledge (event-driven architectures; serverless);
Being open to new experiences, willing to learn and grow;
Communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams located in several countries with different cultures;
A believer in automation (be it tests, CI/CD, or something else entirely);
An engineer with intermediate or advanced proficiency in English.
For this specific role, please note that prior experience in Backend developing and cloud are mandatory requirements.
