Music Teacher

St. Nicholas is seeking enthusiastic Music teachers who can teach music initiation to learners. Experience with and knowledge of the IB programmes is preferred. The position will involve teaching music to students in Primary and Secondary, depending on the appointee's areas of expertise and experience.Main responsibilities within the role To be responsible for the planning, preparation, organisation of learning based on appropriate curriculum documentation and knowledge of the learners' needs; To plan well-paced lessons that take into account different learning styles; To create an inclusive learning environment in which students have the opportunity to develop agency, learning ways to take responsibility for their learning and interactions with others; Keep parents informed of the progress and attainment of their children and advise on the needs of the learner, through scheduled parents' meetings and the school reporting system.Required skills and attributesFluent English communication (verbal and written); Excellent interpersonal, collaborative skills; Teaching licence and relevant university qualifications; Experience in international education will be an asset; We offerCompetitive salary (Brazilian CLT work contract); Medical and dental insurance; Life insurance;Lunch at our restaurant.Working hours for members of the pedagogical team are: 07:45 to 16:15 (16:30 Wednesday for staff meetings and CPD).Deadline: 19th July 2024, although the school reserves the right to make an appointment to a suitably-qualified candidate before the deadline.
