Participate in the full app life cycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, and release to the app store. Work with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimates. Keep up-to-date on current and upcoming features in relevant products and platforms. Drive a best practices approach to continuously improving our products, processes, and tools. Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation for all features in development.Key Responsibilities:Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy and build novel products and features that our users will love.Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch.Review code and design documents, giving feedback on product specifications and mocks.Set and define standards that improve developer workflows, recommend best practices, and help coach and mentor engineers on the team to further their professional development.Continuously learn and improve your technical and non-technical abilities.Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Expertise in Java or Kotlin with 5+ years of experience in Android development.Proven ability to develop data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant applications in the constrained environment of a smartphone.Strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals.Experience building at least one high-quality Android application with a team, from inception to launch.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate efficiently in fully remote teams and convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.Entrepreneurial mindset: self-directed, innovative, and action-oriented, with a passion for building new solutions and thriving in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.Fluent English (both written and spoken) is required, as you will be working with an international team and client stakeholders.About the role:Working hours: 40 hours per weekRequired 2+ hours overlap with PSTProject length: 6-12 Months (possibility to extend)Location: RemoteHow'd the process work?We have an interview with Meta IT's HR team, your future Manager here at Meta, and if approved, a final interview directly with the client's team.To apply for this position, please submit your resume highlighting your relevant experience and why you are interested in this role.
