TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT OF PROJECT PERSONNEL

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager (PM) and close cooperation with the project team in the Head Quarter (HQ) and Field Office, the expert will be responsible for the performance of the following main duties:
MAIN DUTIES
Planning and workplan
Review the project document and its outputs.
Provide technical advice to the PM on the project implementation, budget, etc.
Review existing strategy and implementation approach in the country.
Familiarize with the country's local partners (governments, donors, local authorities, and other implementing agencies.
Conduct stakeholder consultations with Government counterparts and stakeholders to review, detail, and confirm project activities under the financial mechanism.
Effective and timely management of tasks based on the annual work plan of the project.
Execution of activities
Conduct economic and financial analyses required for the execution of the Work Plan, including the following activities:
Conduct Market Study activities, including: (a) Supply Chain Analysis, including at least a Financial and Capital Markets and Services Report; (b) Barriers Analysis containing at least a Barrier Impact Analysis and a Mitigation Plan.
To develop Financial Projections and Funding Requirements Report towards developing a financial mechanism.
To design a Funding Instrument containing at least the following elements: (a) Foundational Planning; (b) Fund Design; (c) Implementation Plan; (d) Repayment & Fund Sustainability.
To support the Technical Skills Assessment under the Capacity Building activities.
Conduct stakeholder consultations with Government counterparts and other stakeholders to endorse the approach towards establishing funding instrument.
Timely and quality maintenance of information at all stages of the project.
Project promotion and outreach
Liaise and coordinate work with the UNIDO Project Manager.
Liaise and coordinate work with Brazilian counterparts and national experts.
Undertake missions within Brazil as required.
Support those responsible for Project Communication in developing communication materials and pieces with content relevant to the activities.
Reporting
Draft the final report and submit it to the PM.
Project contingent activities
To carry out ad-hoc activities as requested during project execution.
To carry out other activities related to the project assigned by the UNIDO Project Manager.
MINIMUM ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Advanced university degree (master's or equivalent) in economics, engineering, sciences, agro-industries, environment, business administration, or another relevant discipline is
required .
Technical and Functional Experience :
At least five (5) years of professional experience in the related fields of the post, including financial services and institutions, is
required .
Thorough understanding of office procedures and practices, preferably in a multicultural environment, is
required .
Experience working with government and development agencies, including the United Nations agencies in the country or a similar country in the region, is
desirable .
Languages : Fluency in written and spoken English and Portuguese is required .
