The mission of UNIDO is to promote and accelerate inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) in Member States.This position is located under the Climate and Technology partnerships division (IET/CTP). The CTP Division promotes engagement with Member States, the private sector, research, experts and innovation platforms, IGOs and other relevant entities in the development of strategic partnerships on climate and technology.FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESThe National Technical Officer works under the direct supervision of the Chief, Climate and Technology Partnership Division. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assume responsibility for the UK-Brazil Hydrogen Hub workplan and relevant technical execution services.Support the development and delivery of the workplan of the UK-Brazil Hydrogen Hub.Organize and conduct technical briefings on the Hydrogen Hub.Undertake on-site project visits as required.Support the preparation of UNIDO Secretariat meetings and administrative support relevant to the UK-Brazil Hydrogen Hub.Identify opportunities for alignment with the Partnership for Net-Zero Industry Technology Collaboration.MINIMUM ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTSEducationUniversity degree in economics, engineering, sciences, energy, environment, business administration, or other relevant discipline is required.Technical and Functional ExperienceAt least five (5) years of professional experience in coordinating the development of projects at national level, is required.Experience in evaluating the needs conditions and understanding the context of Brazil and/or the region is required.Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
