You will have strong finance skills with some experience of accounts payable, reconciliations and associated administration tasks. You will enjoy variety in your interactions with people ranging from greeting visitors, supporting the wider customer facing team, managing supplier relationships, and the logistics of event management.As Consular Officer, you will also provide assistance to New Zealand citizens living and travelling in and around Brazil and assist with New Zealand government events and visits. In this role, you are the face of New Zealand to New Zealanders travelling or living in the area. You will be managing complex confidential situations with empathy and resilience and providing grounded insight through your impeccable judgement, making you exceptional in all situations and especially during a crisis.At its heart, this role provides important support to the Regional Operations Manager, the São Paulo team, the NZTE operational teams, the New Zealand business community and the diplomatic community in Brazil and wider Latin America. Your excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills will enable you to successfully work with many different stakeholders to ensure seamless office management and consular support.What you will need to be successful: O PukengaIn this role you will be:A person who has a huge amount of natural empathy and a willingness to help others, as part of this role is helping Kiwis in distress.Owning the office management and providing outstanding administrative service delivery - you contribute to a positive office culture by providing a world class service to NZTE.A key player in the efficient running of the finance function – you own your part of the financial process to keep the Region's finances running smoothly.Having excellent interpersonal skills in developing collaborative relationships with key business and government stakeholders.Tech savvy with demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office suite and understanding of ERP system is preferred.We need someone with a degree in accounting or business administration. Someone with a problem solver attitude and able to use their initiative, be forward thinking and decisive with decision making while staying cool under pressure. Experienced in administration, leader support, project coordination, as well as tech savvy with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database software.
