Offshore Party Chief

Channel Ship Services Limited (CSS) is currently seeking an experienced Offshore Party Chief to join our team. As an Offshore Party Chief, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing offshore survey operations to ensure the successful completion of projects.As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and exciting offshore projects, collaborating with a talented group of professionals in the maritime industry.Responsibilities Manage and lead offshore survey operations, ensuring adherence to project objectives, schedules, and quality standards. Oversee the deployment, calibration, and maintenance of survey equipment and systems. Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, surveyors, engineers, and crew members. Supervise and provide guidance to survey teams, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data collection and processing. Monitor and report on the progress and status of survey projects, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Review and validate survey data, charts, maps, and reports to verify accuracy and completeness. Provide technical support and expertise to project teams, assisting with problem-solving and decision-making. Train and mentor junior surveyors and crew members. Qualifications Proven experience as an Offshore Party Chief, preferably in the maritime industry. Experience with 4DNAV, USBL. Strong knowledge of offshore survey operations and techniques. Experience in managing and leading survey teams, ensuring their performance and productivity. Proficiency in using survey equipment and software, such as GPS, sonar systems, and GIS software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Flexibility to work in remote locations and offshore environments. Valid driver's license and passport. Offshore certification and training (e.g., BOSIET) preferred. Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required.
