The objective is lasting economic, social, and spiritual change to give a "hand up" to the rural poor.JOB DESCRIPTION:Reporting to Country Director in Nicaragua, the Operations Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the agriculture program from supply chain planning, relations with producers, processing plant production processes, quality processes and certifications, to import-export logistics. This position is responsible for facilitating existing operations with a focus on efficiency, quality control and impact measurement. The Operations Manager will be responsible to remove obstacles, help prioritize the use of organizational resources, and focus on measurable goals and targets. This position will be full time working on site at our facility located in Granada, Nicaragua.JOB DUTIES:Finance, Operations and Infrastructure for Ag Program Create and promote a positive, diverse work environment that supports consistency through the organization's strategy, operational methods and data collection needsUpgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls and proceduresOversee the financial status of the Ag Program Operations, including developing and managing long- and short-range financial plans, coordinating the planning and execution of the annual budget process, monitoring current and multi-year budgets and ensuring sound financial controls are in placeAdvise the Country Director and other key members of senior management regarding budget and cash flow and policy issuesIdentify opportunities for OI Nicaragua to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challengesContribute to the development of OI Nicaragua strategic goals and objectives as part of the managerial teamMaintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CEO and Country Director informed of all critical issues
