As the Operations Manager, you will manage and direct activities in the compounds Pinda (PDO) unit production and materials handling area, focusing on ensuring a healthy, profitable, and safe operating environment. You will seek to achieve the unit's targets and indicators, promote improvements, and minimize costs through Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesAct as an important member of the local leadership to drive performance in production and material handling.Promote benchmarks and challenge the status quo to inspire and identify opportunities for improvement.Engage in dialogue and coaching, ensuring training for your workgroup by identifying needs and promoting individual development.Ensure compliance with general business principles and company policies.Oversee the unit's production and materials handling program, optimizing processes and quality assurance.Contribute to achieving unit objectives and strive for excellence in performance indicators.Minimize operating costs, reduce losses, and increase operational efficiency.Lead the execution of various management programs.Spread the culture of Operational Excellence and GoalZero Safety Performance.Develop improvement projects at all process stages in pursuit of operational excellence.Provide technical and operational support to the industrial management of the Pindamonhangaba plant.Min. QualificationsDegree in Chemistry, Chemical or Materials Engineering, or related areas.Experience in industrial environments.Experience in coordination/management positions in manufacturing companies.Advanced/Fluent English.Knowledge of tools (APQP, FMEA, MASP).Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949.Preferred QualificationsPostgraduate degree and/or MBA in Industrial Management desirable.Basic computer skills (ERP Datasul, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).People Management (People Development Coach).Experience in industrial processes.Ability to solve problems collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.Management of performance indicators in the production area.Systemic vision.Knowledge of the business and market prospects.Desirable: Planning manufacturing activities.For more information, please visit www.lyondellbasell.com or follow @LyondellBasell on LinkedIn.
