Supervise the overall day to day, performance, co-ordination, management and maintenance of the designated site to assist in obtaining zero accidents, maximum productivity, efficiency, quality, service and profitability for the organisation upholding all aspects of compliance and standards and adhering to budget and other applicable criteria, by leading the entire team and sub-contractors with integrity and respect and reporting as per the agreed plan.
**Tasks**:
**Business/Functional Management** - Ensure operational execution in their section aligns to organizational directives, as provided by Projects Development Manager.
- Execute operations for their section to support effective delivery of the project, in support of sustainability of the broader business.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to policies, procedures, practices and legislative requirements for their section, identify gaps, propose improvements and implement approved changes as required.
- Contribute to knowledge management, learning and development for their area of technical expertise. **Financial, Commercial & Contract Management** - Monitor and control the cost of materials and equipment, and recommend and implement cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project.
- Compare plant and labour cost against budget.
- Complete all financial reporting requirements and administration.
- Highlight irregularities and delays for possible claims and extension of time e.g. waiting for drawings, incorrect information etc.
- Order materials and following up orders so that no delays are incurred because of material delays.
- Execute operations in their section to ensure all contractual requirements as communicated to them are met.
- Drive cost consciousness and awareness within their team.
- Manage daily costing and feeds budget vs cost variances to Project Manager daily. **Risk Management & Compliance, incl. ESG responsibility** - Conduct risk analysis, operational, financial, SHEQ, and put in place mitigation plans and follow up.
- Align all stakeholders as is relevant, for their area of responsibility; elevate risks as appropriate.
- Ensure strict compliance to SHEQ policies, procedures and legislation, to ensure the company's responsibility is met.
- Ensures that items manufactured off-site meet all specifications and tracks the supplier's quality processes.
- Comply with all reporting and information requirements, as set by the Project Manager. **Stakeholder Management (Internal/External)** - Ensure professional interaction with client and stakeholders, at junior to middle management level.
- Maintain working relationships with support functions on site and at head office, as required to deliver in their section against standards.
- Responsible for subcontractor operational performance, and to identify and escalate operational, productivity, labour and cost risks relating to subcontractor management.
- Engage with peers and seniors on the project in support of management alignment towards achievement of project objectives. **Operations & Project Management** - Responsibility for day-to-day planning and co-ordination of operation levels, workers, sub-contractors, equipment and supplies.
- Responsibility for the daily schedule of work/rotas/shifts

- Produce and monitor weekly and monthly programmes for job or sections of the job, compile daily diaries and work schedules as well as prepare short term daily programmes in conjunction with senior superintendent, including resources and allowable.
- Ensure that work is executed on time, in full, on standard and first time right, in support of operational goals and targets for their section; keep records on production outputs and produce charts, graphs, and reports as per agreed KPIs to be designed with the line manager and the OE Team.
- Manages daily production meetings, and supply feedback to the line manager and subordinates on job progress.
- Check drawings and quantities and ensure that the calculations are accurate for the work.
- Oversee the selection, requisition, schedules and preparation of materials and plant for use in the operational work; check that the material built into the works is in accordance with the specifications and drawings, assist with the material usage controls.
