The Operations Supervisor oversees the operations, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electricity distribution equipment and substations. He/She actively explores new solutions, technology, and policies to improve operations.
He/She manages the overall Safe System of Work (SSoW) practices according to statutory requirements and best industrial practices. He/She leads emergencies and recovery activities and leads emergency responses as a site Incident manager.
He/She coaches the team members according to their strengths and areas of development and reviews the overall training and development plans to ensure that they are aligned with organizational plans. He/She has good leadership skills to direct the engineering staff and contractors and drive a positive work culture. He/She is detail-oriented and systematic in planning maintenance procedures and has foresight in identifying trends and new solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities Plan day-to-day plant and high voltage switching operations in accordance with operational guidelines and regulations.Plan maintenance activities of the team and oversee the execution.Plan first-line maintenance and response procedures when faults occur.Manage the overall Safe System of Work (SSoW) practices in accordance with statutory requirements and best industrial practices, and ensure compliance of staff and contractors.Review engineering design, operations, or maintenance issues to minimize network incidents.Review protection philosophies, protection settings, maintenance practices, test procedures, permit-to-work procedures, and frameworks based on best industrial practices and updates on safety standards.Manage projects related to operations and asset improvement, and ensure its procurement and awarding of contracts according to budget.Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of the Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.Plan new solutions and technology to enhance predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance work.Lead in emergency responses as a site incident manager.Establish risk assessment measures for work.Liaise with locators and stakeholders such as NGCP, IEMOP, Batelec, and Meralco for any matters that affect network distribution and compliance.Contribute to monthly analysis of cost, budget versus actual performance review, and to the preparation of annual and 5-year plan.Lead in the technical capability development programs and on-the-job training for staff.Assist in pitching demand management and integrated energy solution proposals to potential customers.Prepare and collate operational performance and technical reports and assist in reporting to the management.Technical ___% Reduction of unplanned interruptions and overall system interruption duration and frequency.Achieve 99.5% Equipment Uptime.Power Voltage not more than 5% variation.100% implementation of scheduled activities and projects.Zero Safety-Related and Loss Time Incident.Compliance and Reportorial 100% Statutory and regulatory compliance.100% on-time liaise with different stakeholders.Reportorial submission and presentation to Management.100% compliance with work and safety procedures by staff and contractor.Qualifications Education: B.S. Electrical Engineer (Licensed).
Licensure and/or Certification Required: Professional/Registered Electrical Engineer.
Experience: with at least 5 years experience in power distribution.
Preferably with BOSH Training for Safety Officer 1 or willing to undergo further training until Safety Officer 2.
