This role involves working with different Oracle EBS modules, performing customizations, developing reports, and ensuring system integrations. The consultant also collaborates closely with functional consultants to deliver tailored solutions that meet business requirements.Key Responsibilities:Oracle EBS Customization & Development:Customize and extend Oracle EBS modules as per business requirements using tools like Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and PL/SQL.Develop custom programs, extensions, and workflows using Oracle's development framework.Create and maintain technical documentation for customizations, reports, and interfaces.PL/SQL Development:Develop PL/SQL packages, procedures, and triggers to support Oracle EBS customizations.Tune SQL queries for better performance in production environments.Interfaces and Integration:Develop interfaces between Oracle EBS and third-party applications using Oracle APIs, Web Services, and Oracle SOA Suite.Design and implement data conversion programs and integrate data between Oracle EBS and other enterprise systems.Reporting and Dashboards:Design and develop Oracle Reports, XML Publisher (BI Publisher), and Oracle Discoverer reports as per business needs.Develop Oracle Forms and OAF (Oracle Application Framework) pages for customizations.Technical Troubleshooting & Support:Provide technical support for Oracle EBS modules, troubleshoot issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks.Manage Oracle EBS system environments including patches, upgrades, and cloning tasks.Analyze and debug Oracle EBS programs and work with the DBA team to ensure system stability.System Upgrades and Enhancements:Participate in Oracle EBS upgrades by assessing impacts on customizations and performing required adjustments.Implement system enhancements to improve performance and functionality.Collaboration with Functional Teams:Work closely with Oracle EBS functional consultants to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.Assist in the testing process to ensure that the implemented changes meet business needs.Required Skills and Experience:Technical Expertise:Strong hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) technical components.Proficiency in Oracle development tools including Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Workflow, and PL/SQL.Expertise in creating custom reports, forms, and interfaces.Knowledge of Oracle Application Framework (OAF), XML Publisher (BI Publisher), and Oracle Discoverer.Database Skills:Solid understanding of Oracle Database architecture and performance tuning.Experience with PL/SQL for writing stored procedures, functions, and packages.Integration & APIs:Experience in building interfaces and integrations using Oracle APIs, Web Services, or Oracle SOA Suite.Experience with EDI, XML Gateway, and other integration tools.System Administration:Familiarity with Oracle EBS administration tasks such as patching, cloning, and environment maintenance.Analytical Skills:Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in troubleshooting technical issues.Communication & Documentation:Ability to create detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test cases, and user manuals.Strong verbal and written communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.Educational Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.Oracle EBS technical certification is a plus.Experience:5+ years of experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite, particularly with technical development and customizations.Experience in multiple Oracle EBS modules (Financials, HRMS, Supply Chain, etc.) is preferred.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Oracle Cloud or experience with Oracle Fusion applications.Experience in Oracle EBS R12 and knowledge of Oracle Application Framework (OAF) customizations.
