Responsible for supporting line managers to manage engaged, high-performing teams, using sound technical capabilities to provide day-to-day advice, case management, line manager support for critical 'moments that matter' and project delivery in line with the business' people plan, local legislation, BP policy and best practice.

This role supports all entities in Brazil and Castrol Central, Caribbean and South America (CCSA) reporting to and working closely with the People and Culture (P&C) Consultant for Brazil and CCSA.
**Key accountabilities**:
- Works closely with the P&C Consultant for Brazil & CCSA, to execute projects and activities within the client groups' people plan to support the delivery of their business strategy, and to provide strategic and operational day to day P&C support
- Supports and coaches line managers in making changes to their organisation or in sensitive decisions/activities, encouraging them to be role models of diversity and inclusion and promote an environment of respect, ensuring advice is aligned with the broader people plan and priorities.
- Supports line managers in assessing talent, having effective growth conversations, and identifying critical roles, facilitating calibrations, succession and action planning and ensuring individual actions from talent review are completed and monitored, as applicable.
- Stays up to date with external legal context to pre-empt employee relations (ER) issues and support line managers in managing informal and formal ER cases, driving robust and fair outcomes.
- Provides advice to line managers to recognise, reward and motivate people in alignment with the business and people plan, including support for quality reward conversations and managing reward/recognition specific projects as appropriate.
- Complies with the function's safety and ethics rules and processes, follows procedures, and models bp's Values & Behaviours.
- Supports line managers in building a positive work environment via open and 2-way communication
- Oversees the internship and legally required quota, providing the support and coordination.
- Ensures accuracy of people data and keeps P&C reports up to date
- Manages P&C vendors contracts and suppliers' payments
- Oversees new hires induction and on-boarding processes.
- Oversees termination processes
- Supports ISO/TS audits for Castrol Brazil
**Experience & Expertise**:
- 7+ years' experience in providing HR generalist support to in a demanding operational environment.
- Commercial Acumen (Basic): ability to understand, listen and respond proactively to customer demands.
- Consultancy skills (Skilful): proven skills in understanding client needs, using people management tools to deliver solutions.
Systemic view included.
- Organizational design & Effectiveness (Skillful) and Employee relations and employment law (Skillful): skills to handle, simplify and improve people processes, including Employee Relations
- Analytical thinking: being able to understand people processes, using and analyzing KPIs.
- Cultural Fluency (Skillful): ability to work with different cultures in an efficient way through understanding nonverbal messages, establishing effective networking, managing risks and taking decisions effectively.
- Fluent Portuguese and English.
- Fluency in Spanish desired.
