Involves the day-to-day maintenance and effective operation of company vehicles.General Job Description:Under general supervision performs the following activities:Perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, various repairs and necessary modifications to FedEx vehicles and equipment.Perform administrative tasks necessary for each assignment, which include filling out reports, entering work performed into systems, quotations for parts and services and archiving documents.Control and maintain documentation relevant to the fleet and the department necessary to comply with local legislation and standards when applicable.Keep the work area clean and safe, in compliance with corporate standards and work safety regulations.Interact with internal customers and suppliers regarding the maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.Responsible for all necessary activities until the completion of the job/project.The incumbent(s) of this position is expected to perform all other related duties as assigned.May perform other activities as assigned.Minimum RequirementsMinimum educationHigh school Degree/EquivalentTechnical school diploma required - preferred in vehicle electronicsProficiency in English preferredDriver's license C, D or E requiredMinimum ExperienceFour (4) years recent fleet, automotive, heavy equipment, or truck vehicle maintenance experience and applicable licenses/vocational training.Minimum Required SkillsKnowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing equipment, gauges, and tools normally associated with the troubleshooting and repair of industrial hydraulic, gasoline, electrical and diesel automotive equipment.Ability to work without direct supervision for extended time periods.Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle industrial components.Accuracy & Attention to DetailAnalytical SkillsNegotiation SkillsPlanning & Organizing SkillsTeam Working Skills
