THIS BUYER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SOME SUPPLIERS ON CASTINGS & FORGINGS COMMODITY SOUTH AMERICA. MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position aims to identify cost reductions opportunities, ensure supplier's
Good performance cost, delivery, quality, warranty specially for Ibirubá/RS and
Santa Rosa/RS small/Confidential castings suppliers, act to support new Product
Introduction team within purchasing, support supplier development team as well as
Raise and lead sub
- Commodities strategy. Direct report to Regional Commodity
Manager.
THIS BUYER WILL SUPPORT THE RESPECTIVE TEAM LEADER SA WHO HAS DAILY CONTACT WITH GLOBAL COMMODITY MANAGER IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH LOCAL AND GLOBAL STRATEGIES. COMMODITY DATA:

110 MUSD; SUPPLIER BASIS:
72 SUPPLIERS; AMOUNT OF CURRENT ITEMS:
1830 PN's.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO:
Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers specially the ones closest to
Ibirubá and Santa Rosa sites.
Be closer to them specially due to capacity restrictions. Undertand their pain and
Act to support as maximum as Confidential can;
Reach Cost savings targets, supportprocess improvement initiatives and assure
Cost management avoiding cost divergencies;
Identify best sources for part quotation, assure RFQ on time/cost/delivery
Electing best supplier for Confidential needs assuring local and global alignment prior
Ourcing approval;
Conduct negotiations with suppliers and develop sub
- Commodities strategy for
Implementation;
Develop purchase bids for multiple projects while interacting with internal
Customers engineering, quality, logistics, manufacturing, etc.
Sign and organize contract of Castings&Forgings suppliers warranty/quality and
Logistics agreement as well as complete LTA considering productivity;
WHAT DO YOU NEED:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferably, Business Administration, Comex or
Any other business area;
Advanced level of English is the minimum requirement;
Knowledge in MS Office, mainly Excel and PPT;
Negotiation experience in Purchasing;
Experience and knowledge in Castings & Forgings commodity.
