PURPOSE : · Develop, deploy and reference knowledge management for: Utilities footprint according to manufacturing requirements, Plant Utilities Balance Sheets, Electrical Line Drawings, Process &Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's) and Plant layouts according to Safety & Manufacturing Operational Excellence Standards · Define and deploy in all LATAM Operations innovation plans for Plant Utilities optimization.
(Electricity sources, Chilled & Cooled Water, LP & HP Air, LNG and LPG, HVAC's) PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES : General Activities - New technologies benchmark for utilities footprint - Utilities footprint status/performance assessment - Utilities footprint obsolescence and replacement strategy according to equipment status, regulatory requirements and technology - Close interaction with Customer Solutions for business case definitions, Operational Excellence and new technologies evaluations - Plant layout integration (upstream-utilities, manufacturing platforms, downstream and customer interphase i.ex.
filling lines when inhouse operations) - Follow up on plant targets for successful compliance with the Amcor Sustainability Report Customer Solutions Support - Utilities CTP estimations for business case presentation - Plant Design Layouts for new business cases - Utilities Balance update according to business case requirements - Utilities footprint definition for organic growth and plant expansions according to new business · Proven experience working in Latin America in multicultural environments · ISO 9001, HACCP, ASTM (American Standard Testing Materials), ISO 50001 general knowledge · Proven experience in manufacturing plant design · Proven experience in project implementation Experience in packaging manufacturing sites desirable (upstream, manufacturing, downstream and customer interphase – filling lines) Knowledge & subject matter expert: - Plant Electrical Line drawings - P&ID diagrams - General Plant layouts (manufacturing and utilities) - Regional Utilities Balance Sheets / Toolkit development and implementation follow up - Management of Regional library for plant documents (utility balance sheets and plant layouts) - Plant automation (SCADA implementation, process variables gathering and monitoring) Support to Projects Implementation (eventually) - OHSE Metrics Compliance - Maintain plant metrics according to KPI's established during project execution.
On-site supervision of contractors and compliance with OHSE standards.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Working experience in Latin America Experience in PET injection and blow molding Proven experience in manufacturing plant design · Proven experience in project management Experience in packaging manufacturing sites (upstream, manufacturing, downstream and customer interphase – filling lines) · 10+ years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing roles · Green belt certification (desired) · AutoCAD mastering or 3D electronic drawing tool advanced knowledge Project Management degree (desired) Good English and Spanish knowledge (oral and written)
