What will you do?
Build, develop, and lead a high-performing platform engineering team; Define and execute the platform strategy, aligning it with business goals; Establish and oversee comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes to ensure product quality; Implement and improve DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes; Build and maintain a resilient infrastructure through SRE principles and practices; Design, implement, and manage the underlying infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage; Optimize database performance and efficiency through fine-tuning and performance analysis.
Implement cost optimization strategies and monitor spending in AWS and other services to maximize ROI; Work closely with developers to ensure alignment and efficient collaboration; Lead incident response and post-incident analysis to prevent recurrence; Keep management teams apprised of progress, challenges, growth planning, and incidents regularly.
What do you need to know?
Bachelor's degree in Computing or related; Experience as a Platform Engineering Manager or similar role; Background in software engineering, cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and infrastructure; Experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; Deep understanding of testing, quality assurance, DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure management.
Experience with database administration and optimization; Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; Strong leadership and communication abilities; Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively; Experience in cost management and optimization for cloud environments; Experience in interviewing and hiring; Fluent in English.
Great if you have Experience or certifications in AWS; Previous experience with serverless applications; Intermediate Spanish.
