About the Job Turno is seeking a Platform Engineering Manager to ensure robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure, developer tools, and practices, and serve as the overall system architect to align technical strategies with business goals. This position is remote and we are accepting candidates from Latin America. Responsibilities Ensure Robust and Scalable Infrastructure: Design and implement infrastructure that supports high availability and scalability. Conduct regular performance testing and capacity planning. Improve Developer Tools and Processes: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows. Implement and support developer tools and environments that enhance productivity and code quality. Provide Effective Technical Leadership and Management: Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and provide mentorship to team members. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture. Develop Strategic System Architecture & Tech Roadmap: Create and maintain architectural documentation that aligns with business goals in coordination with Tech Leads. Lead architectural reviews and ensure alignment with long-term technical strategy. Work with stakeholders to develop a tech-specific roadmap for the Turno platform. Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate regular meetings with other engineering teams to align on infrastructure needs and priorities. Ensure clear communication and collaboration between platform engineering and other departments. Enhance Security Posture: Implement security best practices and regular security audits. Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations. Qualifications 10+ years building and managing cloud applications.
Deep understanding of software architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, security, and software development practices. Proven experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code. Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory requirements. 3+ years of experience managing a team of other engineers.
Ability to provide technical guidance and support to team members. Effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to facilitate meetings and ensure clear information flow.
Fluent in English. Skilled in planning, executing, and monitoring engineering projects.
Experience in managing projects with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
