The G20 was created in 1999 to discuss global economic and financial issues, with Brazil holding the presidency from 1 December 2023 to 30 November 2024.Consultancy ObjectiveThe Technical Consultant(s) for Policy support will contribute to the effective management of the G20 Working Group on the Empowerment of Women by providing substantive inputs to agenda setting, policy strategizing, and documentation.Duties and Responsibilities1. Technical Advice and Strategic Support:Provide technical advice on international cooperation under the G20 Summit for sustainable development, focusing on Goal 5 on Gender Equality. Develop concept notes and support organizing meetings.2. Technical Advice to the Ministry of Women:Provide technical advice and develop documentation related to the Ministry's priorities.3. Strategic Engagement with the G20:Support Government bodies' engagement with the G20 secretariat and prepare draft outcome documents.4. Research and Analysis:Conduct research and documentation work for the G20, assessing key issues.5. Other duties assigned by the Direct Supervisor.Deliverable Products1. Detailed work plan: 2 weeks after contract signature (30%)2. Results-based report: 6 months after contract signature (35%)3.
