NoOffer DescriptionPost-doctoral scholarships in Machine Learning at IARA, the Center of Applied Artificial Intelligence for Smart and Sustainable Cities. IARA is one of the Engineering Research Centers at São Paulo state (Brazil) supported by FAPESP, the São Paulo Research Foundation, and is hosted by the University of São Paulo's Institute of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (ICMC-USP), in its São Carlos campus.ICMC-USP is very active in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The city of São Carlos has the highest PhD per capita of Latin America and was ranked, in 2024, as the 3rd best Brazilian city to live.Areas:Continuous learning for data stream mining;Sustainable language models.The researcher will be funded by FAPESP, receiving a tax-free scholarship of R$ 12.000,00 monthly. You can rent a good flat, only a walking distance away from ICMC-USP, for R$ 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 monthly. An extra grant is also provided to cover participation in conferences, research visits, computers, and other research-related costs.
