Postdoctoral Fellowship In Network Softwarization For 5G/6G And Novagenesis

Inatel offers a postdoctoral fellowship at the Embrapii-Inatel Competence Center in 5G and 6G networks (xGMobile). The fellow will work on the development of an innovative multi-architecture solution to support improvements in alternative Internet architecture, NovaGenesis (NG) and Network Slicing as a Service (NSaaS) solutions for 5G/6G networks.The converged solution includes aspects of information security, self-service verification, immutability of data processing and information objects, integration with artificial intelligence, programmable networks, and virtual network functions. The fellow will fine-tune existing NG and NSaaS solutions to fully utilize the new multi-architecture solution. It will also experiment and evaluate the performance of 5G, 6G, and NG applications.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESDevelop the solution in C++, Python and other languages for Docker environments with and without Kubernetes;Conduct cutting-edge research;Write scientific papers, patents, and research reports;Participate in project meetings and scientific events;Assist in advising students in scientific research, master's, and doctoral programs;Work collaboratively with other project members, playing a leading role in defining scientific research strategies.REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONSPhD in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or a related field;Maximum of 7 (seven) years since receiving the doctorate;Experience in Programmable Networks (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Network Slicing, Free5GC and 5G/6G;Experience in Software Engineering and proficiency in C++ and Python programming;Strong understanding of modern networking, computing, cloud/edge technologies, immutability, consensus, software engineering, C++/Python programming, and security;Familiarity with Information-Centric Networks (ICN), NovaGenesis, IoT, Blockchain, and IOTA;Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, LLMs (GPTs), Deep Learning, GitHub, VS Code, G++, Python Virtual Environments, ChatGPT, Programming AIs, Terraform, YAML, HELM.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThe vacancy is open to Brazilians and foreigners. The selected person will receive a Post-Doctoral Scholarship in the amount of between R$ 9,000.00 and R$ 12,000.00 per month, depending on the curriculum analysis, in addition to a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the scholarship to meet unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.Activity schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 12 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.Location of the activities: The activities will be held at the Inatel campus, in Santa Rita do Sapucaí / MG.
