The AstroParticle Physics (AP) group at the Physics Institute of the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil anticipates one post-doctoral position starting as early as February 2025. The successful candidate will join our efforts within the DarkSide Collaboration, which searches for Dark Matter through direct detection. The candidate is expected to contribute in simulations, data analysis, and in R&D. Our AP group has 2 faculty members, Ivone F.M. Albuquerque and Edivaldo Moura Santos, together with post-docs and several graduate students, and another faculty member, Pedro Guillaumon, will soon be joining us. Qualifications:PhD in Physics, AstroPhysics, or related fields.Experimental research experience related to the above topics.Ability in programming.Ability to work collaboratively in a group environment and with remote collaborators.Knowledge of data analysis (statistical concepts and tools).Excellent proficiency in English.Postdoctoral salaries are approximately BRL 144K per year, exempt from tax deductions, and the position includes BRL 14400/year for travel and computing needs. Moving and installation expenses will be reimbursed with the ticket price and one additional monthly salary. The position has a duration of 3 years, with a possible renewal for an extra year.
