Be part of this journey and help us build the future of mobility.We are looking for a Power Electronics (Converter) Design Release Engineer (DRE) to join our team.As the Power converter Module (DC-DC/ OBCM) Design Release Engineer (DRE) you will have responsibility for STLA's PIM product development and verification for electric vehicle platforms which may include PHEV and BEV. The Engineer must be a strong systems-focused team player with interdisciplinary experience/expertise, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.The DRE shall perform the following activities:Work with purchasing and subject matter experts to source & develop cost effective and reliable modulesLead / coordinate activities of other (DC-DC/OBCM) DREsWork with validation team to develop converter DVP&R and all required development/verification testing to ensure achievement of all functional objectives and assure compliance to program goalsDevelop Component Specifications / Statement of Requirements from vehicle, system and software requirements including requirements for Durability, Warranty, Safety and Performance at component levelParticipate in supplier assessments working closely with technical subject matter expertsWork with the chosen suppliers and manufacturing entities to ensure designs are robust to customer requirements, meet exact function, and are manufacturable without defectParticipate in post-test inspection reviews including detailed failure analysis, and recommend changes to product specifications as necessaryTrack progress of component development, verification, and production both internally and externallyAssist Issue Resolution and tracking at Technical, Program, Production and Financial levelsAssist reporting progress and status of component development at various team level meetingsRequisitos:Basic Qualifications:BS degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or equivalent Engineering DegreeExperience in product development / product release experience in AutomotiveAwareness of Power Electronics, Converters, High voltage charging systemAbility to read/interpret Circuit Schematics, Worst Case analysis, layout drawingsKnowledgeable in development of DFMEA, DVP&R, and Validation PlansGood analytical and problem solving skillsHighly motivated and self-starterDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentAbility to interface professionally with key customers, cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/managementStrong verbal and written communication skillsAble to manage multiple responsibilities, one's own time while being mindful of deadlinesMust be task oriented, detail oriented, and accurate with workPreferred Qualifications:MS degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or equivalent Engineering DegreeExperience in product development experience of Power ElectronicsKnowledge of DC-DC converters, and On board charger design and fabricationHands on experience with design, release and manufacturing of critical power electronics components for Automotive applicationsResearch Experience in Power Electronic ComponentsCapability to review Mechanical CAD data, perform mechanical and thermal simulationsWhat We Offer:Professional Development: Invest in your career with our personalized training programs, mentorship, and growth opportunities.Innovative Culture: Work in a collaborative environment that values diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.Global Impact: Be part of a global leader in the automotive industry.Diversity and Inclusion:Stellantis is one of the world's leading manufacturers of vehicles and providers of sustainable, connected, safe, and accessible mobility services.The driving force behind us is the diverse and talented group from around the world who bring their passion and expertise to work every day.
