**_About the Role_**
The Latin America actuarial team within Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is looking to hire an individual to lead actuarial analyses for our Latin America P&C portfolios.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with actuaries and business partners from Brazil and the rest of LatAm.
In addition, the individual will gain exposure to a wide range of actuarial techniques, commercial products, and regional standards.
Projects consist of regular quarterly/annual updates along with less frequent deep-dives into segment loss experience.
A sample of responsibilities include:
- Quarterly reviews of projected profitability and segmentation analysis to better understand relative profitability;
- Annual pricing model calibration to align with internal profit targets and/or external data;
- Partnership with underwriting leadership regarding strategic actions;
- Occasional pricing support for individual large accounts;
- Provide actuarial support for technical notes for the Brazil regulatory entity.
**About the Team**
We provide actuarial support to Corporate Solutions businesses across the Americas as well as own the development of many global actuarial models and parameters.
We work closely with our P&C business leaders, providing guidance on profitability and needed rating plan changes to improve performance.
We also partner with actuaries around the world to develop efficient cross-product models and consistent parameters.
**About You**
- University graduate with an actuarial degree.
- Minimum three years of actuarial experience, preferably in a pricing role in Property/Casualty.
- Experience working with property and/or casualty products preferred.
- Experience with SQL, R, and/or Python preferred.
- Minimum of intermediate English proficiency required.
- Critical skills:
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Organized and able to manage various priorities.
- Internal drive to push projects forward and meet deadlines.
- Curiosity to understand "what" the data is saying and "why"
- Interest in developing data-based strategic actions in partnership with portfolio owners.
