The Principal Data Architect will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex cloud-based data solutions for our customers.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud data and analytics technologies.Responsibilities Define strategic roadmaps and targeted outcomes for our clients in a consultative capacityAct as a data engineering SME to define upcoming engagements working with our pre-sales teamsPerform technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates as well as provide technical guidance to Architects and EngineersOversee the development and implementation of data standards and operating proceduresRequirements At least 4 years of experience in AWS data landscape10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems as well as experience in these areas:Traditional Data (At least 2):Relational database design, optimization and migrationData modeling for both transactional and analytics systems including implementation of industry standard data modelsBI dashboards and visualizationsData Governance and MDMNew Data (at least 2):Big data processing using Spark, Streaming solutions, and NoSQLMachine Learning and MLOps with proficiency in SagemakerGenAI Foundational Models as well as approaches and frameworks used in conjunction with them with proficiency in Bedrock.DataOps practices (Infrastructure as Code, Data Testing, Data Versioning, etc)Experience with at least two of these:Infrastructure as Code toolsCI/CD pipelines and toolsPython for analytics (numpy, pandas, matplotlib etc) and automationStrong drive towards standardizing and documenting our approach and solutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBenefits Private Health InsuranceFlexible Time OffPaid for exams and certificationsPeer bonus awardsState of the art laptop and toolsEquipment & Office StipendAnnual stipend for Learning and DevelopmentWork with an amazing worldwide team and in an incredible corporate cultureCaylent is a place where everyone belongs.
