A private equity firm, is seeking to hire a Private Equity Analyst to join the team. The firm manages a rapidly expanding portfolio of internet-based companies. The firm looks to acquire proven businesses that have strong metrics and potential, supported by significant growth. By introducing our infrastructure, and leveraging our expertise to quickly accelerate growth we're able to provide solid returns to our investors. This individual will actively engage in all aspects of research, acquisitions, and portfolio management under general supervision from the leadership team.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate new investment opportunities for their risks and possible returns driven by detailed financial analysisActively participate in and drive the due diligence process when evaluating new investmentsPrepare investment committee materials for the presentation of various investment opportunitiesPerform business, financial, and operational analysis across portfolio companies to help influence senior management decision-makingAssist with ad-hoc special projects and support the development of long-term strategic initiatives across portfolio companies alongside executive leadershipRequirements1-2+ years of related work experience in corporate development, financial services, M& A investment banking, orprivate equity is preferredStrong analytical skills, including knowledge of valuation methodologiesStrong financial modeling & attention to detailFull understanding of financial statementsExperience preparing detailed financial models and company business valuationsIn-depth experience forecasting Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and Profit and Loss Statements, including the linking of all 3 statements in one dynamic modelStrong verbal and written communication skillsEffectively manages and prioritizes multiple projectsFlexible and adaptable to changing priorities and new challengesAbility to meet deadlines and work well under pressureHigh level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and good judgmentGraduate with a Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, mathematics, finance, or economicsStrong Excel and PowerPoint skillsBenefitsPosition: Private Equity AnalystWorking Hours: Monday Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM ESTSalary Range: $1500 $3000 USD (Bonus and eventual participation in deals)Payment Frequency: MonthlyType of Contract: Independent ContractorOnly CVs in English will be considered to participate in the process.
