The Risk Management team in Brazil provides a wide range of advisory safety engineering and risk management services to the energy industry, for CAPEX and OPEX projects, in Brazil and other South American countries. The Process Safety Risk Senior Consultant is expected to liaise with and support several customers and stakeholders in the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments, including regulatory agencies and tackle energy transition topics, such as CCS, Hydrogen and ESG. The Process Safety Risk Senior Consultant reports to a Team Lead and has responsibility for technical delivery of projects with collaboration of other team members besides project management. The role includes customer interaction to find solutions to their challenges and discuss project schedule/delivery. Responsibilities: Leader of Qualitative risk analysis: HAZOP, HAZID, BowTie, SIL/LOPA, experience in software related. Understanding of Quantitative risk analysis: Ship Collision, Dropped Objects, Vulnerability (PHAST), QRA (SAFETI). Development ability is desired. Support on Management system (PSM, internal audits, training, critical analysis – mainly in MoC, and Safety Critical Elements – ANP resolutions). Developing/implement Safety Case (based on IADC, HSE UK and Brazilian Experience/ANP). Application of knowledge related to Brazilian regulations (onshore and offshore) – ANP (very desirable), IBAMA, NORMAM and NRs. Minimum Requirements: Graduated in Engineering (Chemical or Petroleum desirable), for at least 5 years (mandatory).M.Sc., Safety Eng. Post-Graduation or related (desirable).At least 2 years of daily involvement in process safety aspects, such as qualitative or quantitative studies, being able to explain activities, benefits and challenges.Experience/Participation in Qualitative studies. Leading studies is desirable.Familiar with Process Safety (PSM). Experience in Vulnerability Analysis (PHAST), QRA (SAFETI) will be considered a differential.Experience in upstream, downstream and midstream.Availability to travel, including eventual services on board (offshore units).Experience in CFD is desirable.Digitalization mindset (focus/interest).Besides Portuguese, fluent in English; Spanish (very desirable).
