We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team and support our continued expansion in the wind energy sector.Role Overview:The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the sourcing, purchasing, and management of materials, equipment, and services required for wind turbine projects across the LATAM region.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the wind energy industry, strong procurement skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality components for wind energy projects.Key Responsibilities:Procurement Strategy & Planning:Develop and implement procurement strategies for wind turbine projects across the LATAM region.Identify potential suppliers, conduct market analysis, and select suppliers for key wind turbine components (blades, nacelles, generators, etc.
).Work closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.Supplier Management & Negotiation:Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers of wind turbine components and services.Lead negotiations to secure the best possible pricing, terms, and delivery schedules for key materials and services.Conduct supplier audits, assess performance, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.Contract Management:Manage procurement contracts and agreements related to wind turbine projects.Review and negotiate contract terms, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.Monitor contract execution and handle any amendments, extensions, or claims.Inventory & Supply Chain Management:Ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials to project sites across the region.Track and manage inventory levels, coordinating with warehouse teams to ensure stock availability and reduce lead times.Optimize the supply chain to minimize risks, delays, and costs related to procurement activities.Risk Management:Identify and mitigate risks related to the procurement of wind turbine components, including geopolitical, supply chain, and market fluctuations.Monitor supplier performance and mitigate any risks that may affect project timelines and budgets.Reporting & Analysis:Prepare procurement reports and present key metrics to senior management, highlighting cost savings, procurement efficiencies, and any supply chain issues.Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.Required Qualifications & Experience:Education:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree or certifications in procurement (CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years focused on wind energy projects, preferably involving the procurement of wind turbine components (blades, nacelles, towers, etc.
).Strong knowledge of the LATAM region's supply chain dynamics and market conditions, including import/export regulations, customs procedures, and local supplier networks.Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing suppliers in the energy or renewable sector.Skills:Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in procurement software and tools (SAP, Oracle, etc.
